Everything about Leicester’s rise to the top four of the Premier League has been about their transfer business. It’s all well and good praising Rodgers for the work he’s done since his move from Scotland, rightly so, but, none of it would be even remotely possible without some of the acquisitions.
Wilfried Ndidi, Ayoze Perez, Wesley Fofana, Caglar Soyuncu, James Maddison and many more have all proven to be astute signings in the transfer market.
The potential of Bertrand is another one that would further enhance the club’s reputation as one of the best teams in terms of transfer business in the country.
His experience in the English top-flight means he can come in and Shepperd much of the first-team squad, helping to improve their qualities similar to how Jonny Evans has done so since his arrival.
Then there’s his trophy-winning experience. Making your debut in the Champions League final, and ending up on the winning side, is a daunting task, but, the defender’s performance showed off a great deal of courage and ability. Not to forget he would be available on a free transfer, which would save the club a ton of money during .
Bertrand ticks all the boxes for the Foxes, and his potential arrival would open doors for Rodgers’ desire to strengthen more pressing areas like upfront.
