Report: Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers considers £15m swoop for 22-goal midfielder Jarrod Bowen

Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen is a summer target for Leicester City. , Leicester could make a £15m offer for Bowen this summer.

In January, Hull turned down Cardiff City’s £12m advances for Bowen. But they face a battle to keep their prized starlet following a mid-table finish in the Championship.

Bowen has scored a remarkable 22 goals in 46 league games this season. Operating on the right flank, the left-footed winger is a constant threat cutting inside.

His tally eclipsed last season’s haul of 14 goals. And only five players have scored more Championship goals than him this season.

Leicester are interested in signing the former Hereford winger to add to their exciting young squad. With Bowen also in their ranks, Leicester could bolster their European qualification ambitions.

The Foxes currently have the likes of Harvey Barnes, James Maddison and Demarai Gray in attacking midfield. But Bowen adds a different dimension.

TBR’s view

Brendan Rodgers could make Bowen his first signing since arriving at Leicester. The ex-Celtic boss will be armed with a sizeable war-chest and Bowen would be a good option.

The 22-year-old is young and very exciting. After proving himself in the Championship over the past two seasons, he has merited a shot at the Premier League.

Leicester could be a force to be reckoned with if he adjusts to Premier League life as quickly as Maddison and Barnes have.
