Report: Leeds want to sign seriously ‘fast’ striker before deadline, his club wants £6.8m

Leeds United have been heavily linked with FC Zurich’s Wilfried Gnonto in recent days.

On Wednesday, Sky Sports relayed information from Sky Italy claiming Whites are eyeing the 18-year-old striker.

“(Leeds) are ready to pay up to €5million (£4.2million),” Kaveh Solhekol said on .

Today, Tuttomercatoweb has provided an update on the state of play regarding Leeds and Gnonto’s future.

In addition, Leeds now apparently have competition from Feyenoor for Gnonto’s services.

TMW claim that interest from Leeds, ‘of the president Andrea Radrizzani’, is already ‘confirmed’.

However, the report says that ‘in these hours’, Feyenoord have resurfaced in the tussle.

Although TMW points out that there are Italian clubs who’d also like to sign him, the ‘concrete proposals are coming from abroad’.

This suggests that Leeds and Feyenoord are looking as clear favourites to land the 18-year-old this summer.

Gnonto is a very talented youngster who Italy coach has described as a player who ‘can do everything’ .

Already a full , the teenager can play in a variety of central and wide attacking roles.
