Report: Leeds want Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi
Leeds United are thought to be interested in Michy Batshuayi, , with Marcelo Bielsa working with the Chelsea striker in the past.
Batshuayi’s bizarre spell on the Blues’ books took another twist this past season as he struggled back on loan at Crystal Palace.

He ended the campaign with just two Premier League goals. It certainly appeared that he had done little to send a message to Thomas Tuchel.
Nevertheless, it appears that he continues to have admirers in the top flight.

, Bielsa is keen to be reunited with Batshuayi at Elland Road having worked with him at Marseille.
Hard to write Batshuayi off if Leeds want striker this summer
Batshuayi’s record should perhaps set the alarm bells ringing. For every Borussia Dortmund loan spell – where he scored seven goals in 10 Bundesliga games – there is a stint at Valencia, where he scored once in 15 games.
But if Bielsa wants Leeds to sign him, the fans are likely to be on board.
That would suggest that the Whites boss is confident he can get the best out of him.
And that could be a seriously exciting thought. Batshuayi scored 26 league goals in 63 games at Marseille – many of which came while Bielsa was in charge.
The Belgian is only 27. He has plenty of time to get his career back on track.
Much may depend on his asking price. Reports last summer claimed that Leeds had been offered Batshuayi for £22.6 million.
He now only has one year left on his contract (via ). And he goes into the summer off the back of his Selhurst Park struggles.
So there may be scope for Leeds to agree a much smaller fee this time around.
It would still be a gamble.
But then, the last striker to join Leeds with underwhelming spells at Chelsea and Palace on his CV seems to have done well enough.
