Report: Leeds, Vieira and Hasenhuttl all make enquiries to sign £20m-rated Englishman, Tottenham keen
that Leeds, Crystal Palace and Southampton have all made enquiries to sign PSV Eindhoven talent Noni Madueke. Tottenham are also monitoring the 19-year-old Madueke – after he left Tottenham for PSV in 2018. But they face competition from three others.
Madueke, 19, is in sensational form at PSV. Breaking into the first season in 2019-20, he enjoyed a stunning 2020-21. Clocking up 32 appearances last season, he had a hand in 17 goals – scoring nine and creating eight more. This season, he has already started well in Champions League qualifying.
Playing three times, he already has two goals and an assist in two legs against Galatasaray – and the first leg against FC Midtjylland. But he might end up in the Premier League. Tottenham want him back, while Leeds, Palace and Southampton have all opened talks to make enquiries.
Who needs Madueke most – Leeds, Tottenham, Palace or Southampton?
any interested parties will have to spend £20million to get Madueke – a princely sum, but one fairly earned. He has been excellent for PSV over the last 12 months. Every appearance seems to increase his price tag at the moment. But which club needs him most?
A return to Tottenham would stunt his growth – even with Spurs offering Conference League football. Leeds need Madueke, but like Tottenham, he wouldn’t start at Elland Road. Similarly, Palace have Eberi Eze and Wilfried Zaha. His best move would be to play for Southampton.
