Report: Leeds United now most likely team to sign league winner, they’re currently negotiating a deal
Leeds United are the most likely team to sign FC Zurich striker Wilfried Gnonto this summer.

Zurich have previously kept players until the end of their contracts rather than selling, with first choices players Assan Ceesay and Ousmane Doumbia both allowed to leave on free transfers in this window.
Leeds most likely team to sign Gnonto
Despite only being 18, Gnonto has already had a very successful start to his career.
Part of Inter Milan’s youth set-up growing up, Gnonto made the move to Switzerland as a 16-year-old, having only played a handful of games at under-19 level.
He was quickly promoted to the Swiss side’s first-team, with most of his appearances coming out wide, as he’s able to play on either wing.
Last season he played a much bigger role, scoring eight league goals as Zurich won a historic league title.

If Gnonto were to join Leeds this summer, he would likely be fighting for first team minutes with the likes of Crysencio Summerville on the wing or Sam Greenwood in a central role.
Jesse Marsch is already expected to give Summerville more minutes this season, and it’s hard to see in the short-term where Gnonto might fit in.
He’s clearly done enough already to impress within the Italian national team set-up, becoming one of the youngest Italian debutants for some time when he appeared in the Nations League this June.
