Report: Leeds United have an interest in signing Croatian superstar Ivan Perisic

Leeds United have been linked with a shock move to sign Croatian international Ivan Perisic, according to reports in Italy.

who suggest that the Inter Milan-owned star is on Leeds’ radar.

Perisic is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and recently scored as the Bavarians romped to an 8-2 win over Barcelona.

He also helped dump England out of the World Cup at the semi-final stage in 2018, so there is no doubting his ability.

The report claims that Bayern do not want to spend over €10 million (£9m) to sign Perisic permanently, as they have agreed a deal to sign Leroy Sane.

Inter are however willing to sell Perisic for €15 million (£13.5m) and the 31-year-old would like to remain at the Allianz Arena.

If not, it is reported that Leeds, as well as Tottenham, have made contact over a potential deal.

It would be an eye-catching capture from the Whites, considering Perisic’s form at the highest level throughout his career.

Perisic, a tireless and versatile worker, would also fit in perfectly to Marcelo Bielsa’s playing style and would surely be an instant hit at Elland Road.

Of course, Leeds fans will take these reports with a pinch of salt, considering the sheer volume of players already linked with a move to West Yorkshire this summer.

But the arrival of Perisic would undoubtedly be one of the best fits possible for this current Leeds team.
