TBR’s view

Leeds desperately need a centre-back. Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson are the club’s only two recognised centre-backs. It has meant that a number of players have had to show versatility this season.

Gaetano Berardi, Luke Ayling, Kalvin Phillips and even youngster Aapo Halme have been drafted in to replace one of the aforementioned duo when they are unavailable.

Top-quality cover is required, and Clarke can certainly provide that if Leeds win the bidding war for Clarke.
