Report: Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Derby and Middlesbrough vying for Dutch winger Sheraldo Becker

Leeds United are among the clubs interested in Sheraldo Becker. , Leeds, Derby County, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday are keen on Becker.

The 24-year-old is set to become a free agent this summer. His contract with ADO Den Haag is coming to an end and a host of Championship clubs are pursuing him.

Middlesbrough were thought to be leading the chase for Becker. But they face competition from Yorkshire rivals Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday, while Derby remain keen.

Derby are the only team who could potentially offer Becker Premier League football. The Rams beat Leeds in the play-off semi-final to set up a date with Aston Villa at Wembley.

But Leeds, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday are all hoping that Becker can bolster their attacking options ahead of a 2019/20 promotion push.

The Dutch-Surinamese winger has played 35 games in all competitions this season, racking up a tally of eight goals and 11 assists, including seven Eredivisie goals.

In total, Becker has 13 goals and 21 assists in 95 ADO Den Haag games. He previously played for another Dutch side PEC Zwolle, scoring five and assisting seven in 38 games.

The ex-Netherlands U20 winger came through the ranks at Ajax. But now he could be leaving Holland to pursue a career in England. He has options on the table with four Championship sides enquiring about the soon-to-be free agent.
