Report: Leeds scout Rangers’s clash vs Porto; Glen Kamara linked

, Leeds United were amongst the group of clubs to send a scout to watch Rangers in their latest Europa League clash at Ibrox.

The Gers took one big step towards the knockout stages of the competition. Alfredo Morelos and Steven Davis scored in quick succession to see Steven Gerrard’s side beat Porto 2-0.

And it appears that there was plenty of interest in the game. that Leeds sent scouts to the tie, as did Brighton and Hove Albion and Fulham.

The report does not suggest who each club had their eye on. But it does note that there is a lot of interest in Glen Kamara ahead of the January transfer window.

When you consider the team that Rangers selected and the areas where Leeds arguably need to strengthen, it would be no surprise if Kamara was one player that they were looking at.

The Whites were heavily linked with Ryan Kent before landing Eddie Nketiah in the summer (via ). But it is difficult to imagine any side seriously considering making a move for the winger so soon after his big-money switch to Rangers.

Kamara would not come cheap, if he is the player Leeds were looking at. But he has been excellent since joining the Gers. And with Marcelo Bielsa’s side needing to add to their options in the middle – especially amid the current uncertainty over Adam Forshaw – it would arguably make sense if the Finland international was in Leeds’s sights.
