Report: Leeds pair spotted questioning Raphinha after penalty award

Both Stuart Dallas and Rodrigo went over to ask questions of Raphinha after Leeds United conceded their first penalty in their heavy defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday, .

Leeds made another raft of defensive mistakes as they conceded six at Anfield. It was another sobering day for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. And it was certainly confirmation that they find themselves in a relegation battle.

What was particularly frustrating for Leeds was that they made a bright start. They looked confident in possession. And there were a couple of occasions when they threatened to give Liverpool a real scare.

Unfortunately, much of that optimism was snuffed out within 15 minutes as Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot. The decision was given after Andy Robertson’s attempted cross struck Dallas on the arm.

It did seem that the Northern Irishman was looking to bring him arms towards his body. However, Dallas’ complaints did not appear to be directed at Michael Oliver.

Instead, he looked to have a problem elsewhere. And as it turns out, his frustrations were aimed at Raphinha.

that Dallas gave Raphinha a glare after the winger had not tracked back. And Rodrigo subsequently went over to conduct his own inquest with the Brazilian.

Raphinha form a massive concern for Leeds as he leaves Dallas isolated

Of course, Leeds would have expected little from Wednesday. Liverpool have now had a sniff of a title race. And they were ruthless.

But the manner of the loss is a huge worry. And Raphinha’s current form is a real concern. He has not been at his best for some time.

There were glimpses on Merseyside. He had the ball in the net at one stage. And there were a couple of times when he danced through in a way that may have caught the Liverpool hierarchy’s eye.

However, those moments were too few and far between.

Raphinha carried the team at times during the first-half of the season. His current performances are now leading his teammates to question what is going on.
