Report: Leeds now want to sign ‘brutal’ £25m forward, he’s keen to work with Marsch

Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has overseen a busy transfer window at Elland Road this summer.

The Whites have brought in seven new players, including replacements for Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.

However, there are two areas that Leeds could yet do with strengthening.

One is at left-back, even though Marsch has admitted the Whites feel “better” with Pascal Struijk covering well there.

The other is up front, amid continued injury issues for Patrick Bamford.

Now, has reported that Marsch has set his sights on Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Hwang Hee-chan.

It is believed that the 26-year-old would be keen to work again with Marsch, who coached him at Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig.

Hwang, who is apparently also on the radar of Roma, reportedly has a price tag of up to £25m.

The South Korea international has been with Wolves since last August, when he joined on loan from RB Leipzig.

In January this year, Wolves announced they had activated his buying clause, so he has only been on their books since July.

The West Midlands club reportedly paid £15million for him, so they could be making a profit of up to £10million.

“He’s exceptional”

Leeds would be getting themselves a great player in Hwang, particularly considering Marsch knows how to get the best out of him.

Erling Haaland has previously called him a “brilliant” player capable of “absolutely crazy” displays (Bundesliga ).

Meanwhile, former Liefering and Salzburg head coach Peter Zeidler has said: “He’s exceptional, has a brutal dynamism. I’ve rarely seen anything like it.”
