Casilla is one of a number of players currently set to return to Elland Road after spending this past season out on loan. The 35-year-old joined Elche for the campaign.

His time back in Spain started off well as he began the season as number one. However, he then went on a run of more than six months without a league appearance.
So it is no surprise that Elche seemingly look set to let Casilla return to Leeds.

His contract at Elland Road ends in 2023. Meanwhile, he is thought to earn around £35,000-a-week.

From the outside, Leeds did not appear to handle the situation well. Victor Orta suggested that he was ‘‘ of the way Casilla dealt with the challenges he has faced. And Marcelo Bielsa picked him on a few more occasions after he served his suspension.
In fact, it is probably the one criticism that could be levelled at Bielsa following his first two years at Elland Road.
But it now seems that this summer will indeed be when Casilla moves on.
