Report: Leeds have kept tabs on Todd Cantwell; Norwich plan to reject bids

Leeds United have continued to keep tabs on Todd Cantwell, that Norwich City plan to reject offers for all of their key players this month.

Cantwell has been linked with the Whites for some time. that Leeds had opened talks with the Canaries over a potential move for the 22-year-old.

Of course, a move would not take place. But it appears that Leeds have not taken Cantwell off of their radar.

Sky Sports adds that Norwich plan to reject all bids for their key players this month, including Cantwell. It is noted that his asking price had been £30 million.

Norwich’s stance is unsurprising. Daniel Farke’s men are right in contention to secure promotion out of the Championship at the first time of asking.

Cantwell has only made nine league starts this season. But he is a player who is capable of moments of outrageous quality as he proved in the win over Cardiff in December.

In fairness, it would have also been a surprise if Leeds made a move this month. Bielsa has tended to do little during the January windows throughout his tenure.

So fans may not have been expecting Leeds to make the kind of bid that makes Norwich sit up and take notice – presumably around £30 million mark – anyway.
