Report: Leeds have considered move for goalkeeper Ben Foster
Leeds United have considered a move for Ben Foster as the Whites target an experienced back-up for Illan Meslier, .
Jesse Marsch’s men have plenty of work to do before the new season begins. Of course, the focus right now is probably finding a replacement for Kalvin Phillips with the midfielder Manchester City-bound.

There may also be a need to find someone to fill Raphinha’s void. But there are other areas of the squad which require attention.
One may be between the sticks. Meslier has been the number one since late on in the promotion-winning campaign. And he has done extremely well considering his age.

But last year was tough for the Frenchman. And any hope of taking him out of the firing line was dashed with Kristoffer Klaesson enduring a difficult first year with the under-23s.
In fairness to Klaesson, he was outstanding when called upon in the dramatic win at Wolves. He played much of the second-half following an injury to Meslier.
But it is no surprise that Leeds are looking to make a possible signing in that position. , Foster is one name on the radar.
The 39-year-old is a free agent after leaving Watford.
Leeds have considered Ben Foster
Foster could be a smart signing for Leeds. He is someone who has played almost 400 games in the Premier League. And he is decent enough to act as an understudy for Meslier.
Signing Foster would potentially allow Leeds to loan Klaesson out. The Norwegian may benefit from taking that next step in his development.
Roy Hodgson said Foster was ‘‘ last season. And obviously, he would not command a transfer fee if Leeds brought him in.
Much will depend on who else is on the radar. But it is not a bad idea to consider Foster by any means.
