Report: Leeds eyeing four signings in summer transfer window

Leeds United have their sights set on four new signings this summer, that a new striker is one of the players Jesse Marsch wants in the transfer window.

The Whites remain in trouble in the battle to stay in the Premier League. But two wins have lifted some of the gloom surrounding Elland Road.

Certainly, the manner of their amazing wins over Norwich and Wolves will have given the squad all kinds of fresh belief. And it does appear that Leeds are now only a couple of victories away from ensuring that they will stay at English football’s top table for another year.

The supporters will hope that the club learn from the potential mistakes this year. And unquestionably, one of the major problems has been the size of the squad.

Leeds have been decimated by injuries throughout the season. And it has been several key players that they have lost along the way.

So something of an overhaul looks to be on the cards this summer. that Leeds want four signings during the transfer window.

Brenden Aaronson is named in the report. Meanwhile, the Whites also want two new full-backs and a striker.

It will please a number of fans that Leeds have their sights set on a new left-back and striker, in particular. The problems they have caused since Patrick Bamford’s latest return highlight just how important he is to their fortunes.

And when he has been unavailable, Leeds have often struggled in front of goal.

Meanwhile, Junior Firpo has not had the best first season at Leeds. It is too soon to write him off entirely. Some of his performances have been really good. However, there have been too many mistakes along the way.

With that, bringing in greater competition in that position looks imperative.
