Report: Leeds could target Chelsea’s Billy Gilmour; Nottingham Forest keen
, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest could make a move if Chelsea decide to loan Billy Gilmour out in January.
Gilmour is one of the most exciting talents coming through at Stamford Bridge. He has raced through the youth ranks since his move from Rangers. Frank Lampard handed the 18-year-old his senior debut this season, and he has been included in the Blues’ Champions League squad.

that Gilmour could look to leave the club on loan if he struggles for game-time. And Leeds and Forest could make a move having monitored Chelsea’s youth ranks.
It is noted by the report that both clubs are aware of the teenager’s potential.

TBR’s View
Gilmour looks to have a frightening amount of talent. So, with Leeds and Forest in the top five in the Championship, a potential loan move could have a real impact on the promotion race.
Of course, both sides are relying on a favour from an old adversary. Lampard was in charge of Forest’s bitter rivals Derby County last season.
Meanwhile, there does not appear to be any love lost between Leeds and Lampard after Spygate and the play-off semi-final which saw the Rams win a remarkable game at Elland Road.
It will be interesting therefore, to see where Gilmour heads if he is allowed out on loan.
