Report: Leeds, Celtic and Manchester City all want Hibernian teen Josh Doig
that Leeds United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Celtic are all interested in a summer move for Hibernian teenager Josh Doig, as the left-back continues to impress under Jack Ross in the Scottish Premiership.
Doig, 18, has broken into the Hibs side this season – clocking up 19 appearances in all competitions. In his 16 Premiership outings, he has helped his side keep six clean sheets and offered versatility, playing either as a left-back or on the wing.
His performances have not gone unnoticed. Celtic, Leeds and Man City are all tracking Doig. Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen, but the latter have since retracted their interest – after initially taking a look in the summer.
It is believed a fee of £1million would see Doig leave Easter Road, but a move will have to wait until the summer. The report states that a move to Leeds or Celtic could be beneficial for Doig, over that of Manchester City in terms of first-team exposure.

TBR’s view – £1million is a bargain for Doig
Not only has he clocked up 19 senior games for Hibs, but he has impressed during them. Doig has looked as though he has been playing for years in the green and white of Hibernian – and that may be why he has some of England’s biggest clubs after him.
At £1million for an 18-year-old that is a regular in one of Scotland’s biggest clubs, Doig is a bargain and one that the likes of Leeds, Celtic, City or Arsenal have got to strongly consider. There are likely to be more sides keen by the summer.
