Report: Leeds and Newcastle possible destinations for Ross Barkley
Leeds United, Newcastle United and Everton have all been listed as possible destinations for Ross Barkley this summer, that he looks set to leave Chelsea in a cut-price deal.
Barkley has featured 12 times in all competitions for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season. He returned to Stamford Bridge off the back of a loan spell at Aston Villa that started brilliantly, but fizzled out dramatically.
. So it is hard to imagine that he will be a Chelsea player much longer. Obviously, the challenge the Blues face is finding a new home for the England international.

Signing Barkley could be a gamble for many Premier League sides. His career has stalled significantly since he burst onto the scene at Everton. He was labelled a ‘‘ player by Roberto Martinez.
There were flashes at Aston Villa. But it seemed clear for some time before the end of his spell that the Villans would not look to keep him beyond his loan.
However, there is still time for Barkley to turn his fortunes around. And given his contract situation, it would not be a big shock to see someone take a risk on him this summer.
He is another potential option for the number 10 role in Jesse Marsch’s system at Elland Road.
If everything clicks, he could be a brilliant addition. But that feels like a massive if right now.
