Report: Leeds and Newcastle keeping tabs on Chelsea youngster Reece James
Leeds United and Newcastle United are among the teams thinking about a January loan move for Reece James.
, Chelsea could receive loan offers from a number of clubs for James in January. Frank Lampard seems keen to keep James in his first-team squad, though, so this might be a difficult task.
Marcelo Bielsa is said to be an admirer of James. The Leeds manager plays with attack-minded right-backs and James proved his credentials during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic last season.

Leeds face a battle with Newcastle, though. Steve Bruce wants to add the 19-year-old to his squad for the remainder of the season as a short-term fix in the right-back spot.
DeAndre Yedlin, Javier Manquillo and Emil Krafth can all play there but Bruce is eying reinforcements. James has been identified as the ideal fit if they can convince Chelsea to let him leave on loan.
TBR’s view
Lampard needs to weigh up the short-term needs of Chelsea against the long-term development of James. In the long run, James might benefit from regular playing time at Newcastle.
But the England U20 starlet has played five games for Chelsea this season, scoring once and providing an assist. Cesar Azpilicueta remains the first-choice right-back but James might be replacing him sooner rather than later.
