, Lazio now want van Aanholt. In fact, it is suggested that the Biancocelesti have made contact with his representatives.

Leeds’ plans yet to become apparent, but van Aanholt would be a shrewd addition in the transfer window

Leeds appear to have a left-back target in mind. , the Whites are quite far down the road with an unnamed option.

Without knowing who that is, it can surely be argued that van Aanholt would be a shrewd signing for the Whites.

He is not a young player. And he is not particularly versatile, like so many of Bielsa’s squad are.

But he is available on a free transfer. And he would bring a wealth of experience with him.

Some Palace fans insisted that he could develop into an amazing player under Bielsa when the initial links emerged.

The Serie A outfit look to be stepping up their interest in the near future – judging by the latest reports.

So it may not be too long until we get a better idea of just how interested Leeds actually are.
