Report: Lazio interested in Liverpool fringe star Xherdan Shaqiri
Liverpool attacker Xherdan Shaqiri has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Lazio.
the Switzerland international is now on the Serie A giants’ radar, after they missed out on Manchester City legend David Silva.
The Rome-based club were expected to announce the Spaniard’s signing, only for Real Sociedad to hijack the move at the eleventh hour.

The snub means Lazio must now look for alternatives, with the club’s sporting director Igli Tare said to be a fan of £80,000-a-week ace Shaqiri ().
Shaqiri has endured a frustrating past couple of seasons on the periphery at Anfield.
The former Bayern Munich and Inter Milan star has been unable to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI, and he is one player tipped to be leaving this summer.
TBR’s View – Time to cash in
Shaqiri’s move to Liverpool just hasn’t worked out, unfortunately.

He has made very little impact since joining from Stoke City, and one gets the feeling there are several other players at the club that Klopp would much sooner use before putting him on.
With three years remaining on his contract, Liverpool are actually in a great position to command a higher fee than what they paid (£13 million, ), which is something they should consider doing this summer.
