Kicker reports that Stuttgart want to take the centre-back back for another year. And it is suggested that the loan could include an option to buy.

However, they are not his only admirer.

that there is interest from Serie A clubs, with Lazio being named as one of those keen on Mavropanos.

Arsenal may struggle to snub Mavropanos bid if Lazio want him permanently

As impressive as Mavropanos has been, it does appear that he faces a battle to force his way into Arteta’s plans.

Even with David Luiz leaving, Arsenal have plenty of centre-back options.

His contract has two years left to run (via ). So this summer may, unfortunately, provide a good opportunity to sell him permanently.

He goes into this window off the back of an impressive loan spell. And given his contract situation, his value may not increase much further.

Arsenal have their own summer plans to fund. So they may feel that they are not in the best position to snub any substantial bids that come in.

If Lazio are therefore, willing to make a permanent offer, Arsenal may feel compelled to let him move on.

It remains to be seen if the Biancocelesti want him on loan or permanently. It may also be that one of their Serie A rivals makes a better offer.
