Report: Klopp set to miss out on 10-goal rumoured Liverpool target, contract due to be signed
Liverpool are set to miss out on Nordsjaelland winger Kamaldeen Sulemana to Ajax, according to .
Sulemana is currently in Amsterdam to thrash out the final terms of a move to the Johan Cruijff Arena. The Ghanaian has been on Ajax’s radar for a number of months after turning in a string of impressive performances in Denmark.
Ajax attempted to sign Sulemana in January, but Nordsjaelland refused to do business midway through the season. The decision proved right, with the 19-year-old ending the campaign with and eight assists to his name.

Ajax now hope to add Sulemana to Erik ten Hag’s squad for €15m (£13m) after reaching an agreement with Nordsjaelland. The final hurdle for the Eredivisie giant is in negotiating the fee the winger’s agent will receive.
Should talks progress well, Sulemana will sign his Ajax contract by the weekend. De Godenzonen are keen to end negotiations as soon as possible as the Dutch outfit are aware of the rival interest they face.
Liverpool and Manchester United scouted Sulemana alongside Ajax against Copenhagen in May. The winger impressed the Red Devils so much that they held negotiations over a £12m deal, per the .
But Liverpool and Manchester United both seem set to miss out on Sulemana to Ajax. The left-forward only joined Nordsjaelland in February of last year but enjoyed a rapid rise in the Superligaen as a versatile gem across the front line.
TBR’s view: Liverpool may rue Ajax deal for Sulemana
Liverpool may rue missing out on Sulemana if he continues his development at the same rate with Ajax. He only spent 16-months at Nordsjaelland but shone so fast that he is set to seal a £13m move to a club famed for making stars.
Sulemana’s efforts in Denmark also caught the eye of Liverpool and Manchester United, who reportedly held talks over a deal. He also made his for Ghana in October at just 18-years-old.
Expectations of Sulemana being a success in Europe are already high, too. The added that he is expected to be the most successful Ghanaian since Michael Essien and United considered the Superligaen star a safe investment.
