Report: Juventus ready to make Dwight McNeil move after Tottenham cool interest
Juventus are mulling over a move for Burnley starlet Dwight McNeil, . Tottenham Hotspur have dropped out of the race, leaving Juventus clear to move for McNeil.
Tottenham were keen on signing the lively winger from Burnley. Spurs made an enquiry about the former Manchester United academy player earlier this summer.
However, they have decided to pursue Jack Clarke instead. Snapping up the 18-year-old from Leeds United has seen Mauricio Pochettino cool his interest in McNeil.
And now Juventus could make a move for McNeil. The Serie A champions will watch him in pre-season as they want a couple of younger players in their squad.
The 19-year-old enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season at Burnley in 2018/19. McNeil made his debut at the start of last season and continued to make 27 appearances.

Burnley’s rise away from the relegation zone and into midtable coincided with McNeil coming into the team. The teenager scored three goals and provided five assists in 22 Premier League games to add to his burgeoning reputation.
Those performances have not gone unnoticed. Juventus are now in the clear to make their move for McNeil after Spurs dropped out of the running.
Good move for Dwight McNeil?
If Juventus firm up their interest with a concrete bid, McNeil might be faced with an interesting choice. On the one hand, Burnley have given him a chance in the professional game and he is guaranteed lots of playing time at Turf Moor.
But the chance to move to Juventus does not come along too often. The prospect of competing for the Italian title and the Champions League trophy could be too tempting for the England U20 starlet to turn down.
