Report: Juventus plot £8m raid on Rangers for Glen Kamara

Juventus are lining up a big-money swoop for Rangers star Glen Kamara.

According to the print edition of The Mail on Sunday (1st December, page 125), Juventus might move for Kamara. The Serie A champions are interested in Kamara and Rangers want £8m.

Leeds United and Crystal Palace are also in the hunt for Kamara. But Rangers will be desperate to hold onto the midfielder, who joined last January from Dundee.

Juventus started watching Kamara after his starring performance for Finland against Italy. The ex-Arsenal man dominated the midfield against Italy and Juventus scouts were thoroughly impressed.

Rangers are desperate to hold onto the 24-year-old, who has been a regular in Steven Gerrard’s midfield. They will demand £8m for Kamara and this could put Juve and some other clubs off a move.

TBR’s view

Kamara’s role in the Rangers midfield is vital. He often does the unappreciated work, keeping things tidy in midfield and breaking up play from the opposition.

Rangers need to find a way to keep him for the title push this season and the Europa League campaign. But at the age of 24, Juventus could be an exciting project for Kamara.
