Report: Juventus now want to sign ‘amazing’ Tottenham player

Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has emerged as a potential transfer target for Juventus.

This is according to Italian outlet , who claim Juve have added the Spurs full-back to their shortlist.

Emerson joined Tottenham from Barcelona last summer and has made 41 competitive appearances for the Lilywhites.

He has had a mixed maiden season at N17, with flashes of quality but also some underwhelming displays.

Although Emerson has said he’s happy at Tottenham, speculation linking him with a move away persists.

And with Spurs reportedly trying to sign Djed Spence, this will add further competition at right wing-back.

CMW reckon Juve could be the next club to throw their name in the hat for Emerson.

The Bianconeri currently have three right-backs in their ranks, all over 29 years of age.

So it’s not surprising to hear that they might be looking for a long-term successor to the likes of Danilo and Juan Cuadrado.

Could Spurs cash in already on Emerson?

Tottenham and Juventus seem to be forging quite the connection in the transfer market.

Spurs have already signed two players from Juve this year in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.

In addition, Cristian Romero was previously with Juve before joining Spurs via a one-day stint on Atalanta’s books.

Now, the Serie A giants are apparently after four Tottenham players.

Emerson is definitely a talented player. He was described as ‘amazing‘ after one display last season.

Nonetheless, it remains to see what Antonio Conte has in store for him.

You’d think Emerson would get one more season to prove himself at N17.

But if the fee is good, then Spurs could well cash in.
