Report: Juventus have joined Mourinho in the race to sign Arsenal’s Euro 2020 player

that Juventus have made the surprise decision to join the race for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka. Jose Mourinho’s Roma have been strongly linked with a move for the Switzerland ace. But now, Mourinho faces competition from Juventus.

Xhaka, 28, has been a source of constant criticism for Arsenal fans but the ex-Gladbach man has numerous admirers in Italy. The new report claims that Roma’s latest offer is £13million in total – worth around £10.4million up front and £2.6million in add-ons. Arsenal want £17million for Xhaka.

However, Roma now have competition in the pursuit of Xhaka – with Juventus now an option. It comes after Xhaka starred for Switzerland on Monday night, as the Swiss knocked out World Cup winners France after a penalty shootout. Juventus want Xhaka ahead of Roma.

Are Arsenal making a mistake in selling Xhaka – if Juventus are keen?

Xhaka was sensational for the Swiss on Monday night. He helped the Swiss prevent France’s star-studded midfield from gaining complete control, despite that midfield containing Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante. But Xhaka is one of those players that seems to play better for his country, than his club.

At Arsenal, Gunners fans have not seen Xhaka produce a display like that on a consistent basis. The odd outing is decent but not at that standard. Arsenal do need to cash in, as his time in North London has gone somewhat stale. But interested clubs should not be fooled by his Euro 2020 form.
