Report: Juventus could hijack Arsenal move for Renato Sanches
Arsenal could be beaten by Juventus to yet another signing, this time in the form of Portugal and Lille star, Renato Sanches.
That’s according to , who claim Juve want to sign the former Swansea City loanee.
Sanches was one of the shining lights for Portugal this summer. Cristiano Ronaldo’s charges crashed out last night to Belgium, but Sanches put in another solid showing.

Reports over the weekend had suggested Arsenal were keen on Sanches. As the Gunners draw up targets, the Lille star had emerged on their list.
But reports in Italy now suggest Juventus are keeping a close eye on Sanches ahead of the summer. The midfielder helped Lille to beat PSG to the Ligue 1 title last season, and his stock has never been higher.
The 23-year-old has a contract with Lille until 2023. But the French outfit are known for selling their top players for big money, and could choose to cash in this summer.
Sanches was part of the Portugal squad that won the Euros in 2016. He’s also won titles in Germany, despite struggling in the main with Bayern Munich.
He moved to Lille from Bayern for £21m in 2019.the German giants have a £25m buy-back in the deal too.
Juventus giving Arsenal plenty of trouble it seems
First Locatelli, and now Sanches. For Arsenal, it looks like Juventus are going to be a bit of a pain this summer.
The Italians always seem to get linked with big players and so it’s unsurprising to see them in for Sanches here. He has been impressive in the Euros, and looks like fulfilling his massive potential.
Arsenal have a host of midfielders on their radar. But Sanches, out of all of them, would appear a smart fit. But with Juve now in the picture, the Gunners’ hopes have just shrunk a tad.
