Report: Jurgen Klopp signing ready to leave Liverpool, as Wolves ace lined up

that Naby Keita is ‘ready to leave’ Liverpool this summer after a difficult couple of seasons at Anfield – with Jurgen Klopp’s side ready to target Wolves ace Ruben Neves as his replacement.

Keita, 25, joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018 from RB Leipzig but has since managed just 51 appearances in all competitions. Niggling injuries have prevented the midfield ace from developing any momentum.

The midfielder cost Liverpool a whopping £58million – costing the Reds over £1million a match and it now appears that he is ready to cut ties with Klopp’s men. AC Milan are interested in signing him, after missing out in 2018.

It seems Liverpool are willing to part ways with Keita if the Reds can lure Portugal international Neves to Anfield this summer from high-flying Wolves. Several Bundesliga clubs are also supposedly keen on Keita.

TBR’s view – Should Liverpool let Keita go?

With Pedro Chirivella already completing a free transfer to French side Nantes, Xherdan Shaqiri expected to go and Adam Lallana due to leave the club at the end of the season – Keita may find he has more of a chance to play.

That is, however, if he remains fit. Another point is that Keita’s best form for RB Leipzig came when he was playing week in, week out. At Liverpool, Keita is simply not good enough to get past Jordan Henderson or Gini Wijnaldum.

For the good of Keita’s career, he may have to leave.
