Report: Jorge Mendes has offered manager to Newcastle, Toon are keen
Last week, reports emerged that Gennaro Gattuso is keen on the Newcastle job. Now, Jorge Mendes is the man pushing the Italian to Tyneside.
Renowned super agent Mendes, responsible for the Portuguese contingent at Wolves, has enormous connections within European football.
Newcastle could take advantage. in October that Gattuso is keen to take over at Newcastle, and replace Steve Bruce.
Gattuso, 43, is already very experienced during his managerial career. He has taken charge of numerous Italian sides, and in Greece and Switzerland.
Last in charge of Napoli, Gattuso impressed – winning 57% of his 81 games. But he left in the summer, and remains without a club.
He almost joined Tottenham, but a fan backlash blocked a move. Now, – and the Toon are keen.
