Report: Jonjoe Kenny to finalise Hertha move after leaving Everton

Unfortunately, Kenny has not kicked on after making a bright start to life in the senior fold. Many probably expected that he would be moved on after an underwhelming spell at Celtic in the 2020/21 season.

But he ultimately stayed as Everton dealt with financial issues. And he went on to play 21 times in all competitions. However, it proved to be a very tough year for the Toffees. And Kenny did not manage to impress.
that Everton did offer Kenny a new contract. However, he opted to move on. And he is already closing in on his next club.
According to Sky, he is in Germany to seal a move to Hertha Berlin. Hertha stayed up by winning the Bundesliga relegation play-off.

Jonjoe Kenny to finalise Hertha move
It would have been a surprise to many that Everton offered Kenny a new contract. Lampard did label him a ‘‘ player. And he can play in either full-back role. However, he did have his limitations as a player.
Everton will not want to be in the same bother next season. And with that, moving players such as Kenny on should help the side raise the standard.
Obviously, there are other attributes he brought to the ranks. He clearly loved playing for Everton, and that passion came across on several occasions.
But Everton now need to kick on. So Kenny moving on should not be any sort of setback.
