Report: Jesse Marsch expected to start picking 20-year-old Leeds United youngster far more regularly this season now
Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch is expected to pick winger Crysencio Summerville far more regularly this season.
Leeds’ owner Andrea Radrizzani is a big fan of Summerville, and the Dutch under-21 international has featured in both of Marsch’s matchday squad this season, coming on for the final few minutes against Wolves.

He returned to the Whites under-21 squad on Tuesday against Norwich and provided an assist for another youngster looking to play more first team minutes, Sonny Perkins.
Summerville made his Leeds debut last season against Newcastle, but has yet to start a league game for the first team.
Marsch expected to pick Summerville more regularly
Despite Raphinha moving to Barcelona this summer, Leeds’ transfer business might make Summerville’s route to the first team tougher than it was before.
Luis Sinisterra and Brenden Aaronson can both play across the attacking three that sit behind Patrick Bamford.

Leeds have also made no secret of the fact they want to sign another striker this summer, but only if the right deal comes along.
This could potentially pushes Summerville further down the pecking order, and he may need to take opportunities in the cup competitions, and the under-21s to prove his worth.
It’s a good sign that Marsch is expected to trust the young Dutchman more, and it’s a similar promise to the one he’s made to Joe Gelhardt, but there’s only so many players who can be given these chances at once.
