Report: James Rodriguez and Allan deals done, Everton waiting to announce impressive triple sweep

Some Everton fans have been fretting over the club’s reported deal for James Rodriguez. It seems a deal is agreed with the player and Real Madrid, whilst Everton are also said to be closing in on Allan’s arrival from Napoli. 

Both were said to be undergoing medicals at Everton yesterday but no official confirmation arrived regarding the pair. 

So what is the hold-up? Should Everton fans be fearful of a late hitch?

Apparently not,

They claim that Everton are simply waiting to tie up a third big-name signing, with Abdoulaye Doucoure set to arrive from Watford. 

Everton have agreed a £22 million deal with Watford for the Frenchman and a medical was done yesterday. A few pieces of the puzzle need to put into place but then all three players will be officially revealed as Everton players tomorrow, at the same time. 

Essentially, it appears Everton are waiting for a perfect PR opportunity to highlight a complete revamp of their problem midfield area by signing these three long-term targets. 

Rodriguez is said to be costing Everton a fee in the region of £20 million whilst Allan will cost, initially, around £21.7 million. With Doucoure’s figures on top of that, it will be a £60 million triple coup for Everton who are looking to put another disappointing campaign behind them under Ancelotti’s management. 

This could easily be a very memorable day to be an Everton fan.
