The versatile attacker spent last season on loan at Oxford United, but unfortunately broke both feet to limit him to just 16 appearances in all competitions.

Woodburn – who is Liverpool’s youngster-ever scorer after his goal against Leeds United in the EFL Cup in 2016/17 – is highly rated by coaches at Melwood, with Jurgen Klopp himself dubbing him an ‘outstanding talent’.

Given the plethora of attacking options available to Klopp, it is safe to assume Woodburn will be spending the 2020/21 campaign out on loan.

It is also stated by Goal that there are admirers in the Eredivisie.

But he is now fully fit and needs to make the most of his next loan move, which is surely on the cards rather than youth football.

Woodburn has huge potential and perhaps another move to League One is what will set him well on his way.
