Report: Inter Milan star considering Tottenham, as Bayern move stalls

that Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic’s representatives are considering a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer – as an expected Bayern Munich deal stalls.

Perisic, 31, is growing fearful that a move to stay at Bayern Munich will not materialise. The 2018 World Cup finalist joined Bayern last summer and has clocked up 31 appearances on loan from Inter Milan.

He had a hand in 16 goals – scoring six and creating 10 more and remains on the training ground at Bayern, with the German giants still in the Champions League. But a permanent move to Bayern is stalling.

Indeed, Bayern had given Perisic assurances that they would sign him from Inter. But since the end of the season, communication has stalled. It has seen Perisic’s agents take action – with a fee of less than £18million expected.

Perisic’s agents are considering moves to Tottenham or Manchester United, as they look to cover themselves if a permanent deal to Bayern does not materialise. He has a contract at Inter until the summer of 2022.

TBR’s view – Tottenham or United?

Certainly, the signing of Leroy Sane – twinned with competition from Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Alphonso Davies – has left Perisic some way down the pecking order. That does not deter the Croatian, though.

But it may see Bayern decide against signing him. So, Tottenham or United? Spurs are much more equipped out wide in Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Ryan Sessegnon and Erik Lamela.

He hardly fits into United’s transfer style under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, either. Could Perisic end up in limbo?
