Report: Inter Milan have opened talks to sign Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum
that Liverpool have opened talks to sign midfielder Gini Wijnaldum, with the Dutch midfielder set to enter the final six months of his contract. the report has also revealed his alleged contract demands.
Wijnaldum, 30, has been in excellent form for Liverpool. This season, the Netherlands international has been continuously linked with an exit, despite remaining a crucial part of the team with his contract situation worsening.
The ex-Newcastle star has been linked with Barcelona following Ronald Koeman’s appointment. However, the Spanish giants are clearly not the only team interested in signing Wijnaldum, with Inter Milan now linked.
The report states that Inter have opened talks with Wijnaldum’s agents over a possible move, and that Wijnaldum wants a contract at Inter until 2024. A prior report from said Inter want to sign him for £13.75million in January.

TBR’s view – Liverpool need to act fast or face losing Wijnaldum
Wijnaldum could end up leaving Liverpool in January and that is something the Reds must avoid. With their title pursuit currently looking good, Liverpool need to keep their main players and Wijnaldum is pivotal to the Merseyside outfit.
Allowing Wijnaldum to leave at the end of the season would be tough, but it gives Liverpool the chance to replace him. It would also allow Liverpool to enjoy the Dutchman for their title pursuit. Losing him in January would be a shattering blow.
But an exit now seems inevitable, whether that is in January or in the summer.
