Report: Inter Milan considering move for Spurs defender Japhet Tanganga

Japhet Tanganga may have spent most of the summer looking destined to join AC Milan, but is now reporting that it is Inter who are now considering a move for the Tottenham Hotspur defender.

Tanganga’s future has been uncertain throughout the window. The 23-year-old is probably one of those players Antonio Conte would be happy to keep beyond this summer.

However, he cannot provide him with any assurances over game-time. And with that, you could understand why he may be keen on a move away in some capacity.

And it seemed that it was Milan who looked set to sign him. The Rossoneri were looking to seal a loan deal that came with an option to buy.

Tanganga reportedly rejected several Premier League sides. He wanted to join the Serie A winners at all costs.

Interestingly, those links appear to have gone a little quiet of late. But he may still get the chance to move to San Siro this summer – even if he does not join Milan.

It could be a pivotal moment for Tanganga. for a few weeks with injury.

That could present Tanganga with an opportunity to feature for Tottenham. And with that, he could stake a claim for more game-time over the coming weeks.

But if Inter come calling, that may be difficult to turn down. He is an ‘‘ prospect. And he will surely want to go where he is going to play regularly.
