Report: ‘Incredible’ Arsenal player undergoing medical with top-flight club
Sead Kolasinac is currently undergoing a medical with Marseille as he nears the Arsenal exit, .
Kolasinac’s exit has been on the cards for some time. at the Emirates at the end of the season. And he has only made two appearances in the Premier League this season.
The 28-year-old returned in the summer after a loan spell with Schalke.
Of course, much of the debate right now concerning Arsenal centres on their request to postpone the North London derby at the weekend with Mikel Arteta not having enough players to take on Tottenham.
The Gunners, rightly or wrongly, are coming in for a lot of criticism right now. Nevertheless, they appear to be ploughing ahead with their transfer plans. And with that, Kolasinac looks set to move on from Arsenal.
Fabrizio Romano previously suggested that talks with Marseille were underway. The Ligue 1 side had made an approach for the defender Arteta lauded for having an ‘incredible‘ attitude earlier this season.
And now, it appears that a move to Stade Velodrome is on the verge of being completed. that he is undergoing a medical with Jorge Sampaoli’s men.
Kolasinac would become Marseille’s third signing from Arsenal this season. Both Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba made the move in the summer, with the pair signing on loan.
Kolasinac to hand Arsenal a transfer boost with imminent departure
Obviously, the move would likely mean that Kolasinac has made his final appearance for Arsenal, even if he goes on loan. It is incredibly difficult to imagine the left-back signing a new contract.
Kolasinac reportedly earns £100,000-a-week, . So moving his wages on could be a real boost for the Gunners.
Arsenal are yet to make a new signing in this window. And Arteta will surely want a new central midfielder and striker before the deadline passes.
