Heckingbottom was sacked earlier this month after an underwhelming tenure at Easter Road. And Hibs now look set to step up their search for his replacement during the international break.
that the likes of Jack Ross and Harry Kewell have been on the club’s radar. But the target that they are reportedly developing a keener interest in is Kennedy.
The Scottish Sun suggests that Hibernian plan to make an approach at some stage this week. The report notes that it is unclear whether Kennedy would be interested in leaving Parkhead for the Hoops’ Scottish Premiership rivals.

Kennedy may not be the manager, but it looks as though he would be a significant loss to the Bhoys if he did go.
It is telling that Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon have kept him around after he moved into the first-team fold during Ronny Deila’s tenure.
It may not be an easy decision for Kennedy. He has a fantastic position at Celtic. But the chance to lead his own side must be tempting. Hibs have the potential to be doing significantly better. And he may wonder just how much more he can achieve with the Bhoys.
