Report: Hertha Berlin keen on signing both Loris Karius and Mark Grujic this summer
Two Liverpool players could be on their way to German side Hertha Berlin in the summer,
Loris Karius and Marko Grujic are both wanted by the Bundesliga side, with Liverpool looking to trim the deadwood from their squad to raise money for transfer funds.
The report claims that Karius, whose recent loan spell at Besiktas ended acrimoniously, is currently in Germany and will not be asked to report to training at Melwood for the foreseeable future.
Hertha are on the hunt for a long-term replacement for Norwegian veteran Rune Aleming Jarstein and Karius fits the bill
Liverpool and the German side have good connections which could help a deal go ahead.

The same report also touches on Grujic’s long term future. The Serbian talent has enjoyed a productive two-season loan stint at Hertha and the club are open to buying him permanently.
However, much will depend on finances amid the current global health crisis. Whilst the German capital side were in a place to spend big on the likes of Krzysztof Piatek, Lucas Tousart, and Matheus Cunha in January, they may need to rein in some of that spending this summer.

Liverpool would, therefore, be cashing in over £30 million on the pair if they sold them at the highest price to Hertha this summer but that seems unlikely in the current circumstances.
Still, if Liverpool could convince Hertha to pay out over £20 million for the pair that is money the club could use toward strengthening their Premier League conquering squad.
