Report: Harry Wilson set to leave Liverpool permanently this summer

Liverpool winger, Harry Wilson, is looking increasinly likely to leave the club this summer, according to a report from today.

Wilson is currently enjoying another fine loan spell away from Anfield, this time, with Cardiff. He’s scored seven and assisted a further 12 in the Championship this term, with that form catching the eye on Merseyside.

However, with multiple clubs said to be keen on securing Wilson’s services, the have stated that it looks more and more likely that the 24-year-old will leave this summer. This time, though, it will be on a permanent deal.

Wilson would need a big change of heart from Jurgen Klopp to prevent a sale happening. The Welsh winger is set to join back up with the Reds after the Euros, where he’ll likely try and make his case to be involved at first-team level.

But if there is to be no joy, Wilson will move on. Championship clubs will be keen, while he also impressed in the PL with Bournemouth last season.

TBR View: Wilson is a good player but maybe not quite Liverpool standard

Like so many at the very best clubs, Wilson is probably just short of being the exceptional sort of talent they require. Klopp has shown he trusts younger players, but with Wilson, he’s just not had much chance.

A move would probably be best for everyone involved here. Wilson has a lot to offer, so maybe one of the promoted clubs will take a chance on him over the long-term.
