Report: Habib Diallo’s priority is Tottenham, as he warms bench for Metz
Habib Diallo was left as an unused substitute this weekend, it is the striker’s ‘priority’ to join Tottenham Hotspur this window.
The 25-year-old Senegal international has been linked with a move to north London for a fair while now, but the latest development could be the most significant yet.

Diallo is undoubtedly Metz’s danger man having scored 48 goals in 114 appearances in total for the club, but he was left on the bench against Reims at the weekend and did not enter the action.
As a newly promoted club, Metz need the contributions of their best players, so it suggests all is not well regarding the situation with Diallo.
L’Equipe say it is the player’s priority to join Spurs, whose manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed he is looking to sign another striker before the window closes, despite the sensational re-signing of Gareth Bale on loan.
TBR’s View – Tottenham’s chance to help Harry
If Diallo really is set on making a move to Spurs, then it’s great news for the club who undoubtedly have to relieve the burden on Harry Kane.

Heung-min Son obviously demonstrated incredible forward play against Southampton, and Bale could well have a great impact, but these are natural wide players.
Diallo, whom Metz could demand at least €15 million/£13.7 million for according to L’Equipe, is an out-and-out centre-forward whose job is to put the ball in the back of the net.
He would come a lot cheaper than the likes of Alexander Sorloth or Wout Weghorst, which is ideal for someone who would be playing a backup role.
