Report: Gerrard will sell two key Rangers attackers if the price is right, this summer

that Rangers are willing to sell Alfredo Morelos and Ianis Hagi this summer, if the price is right. Hagi scored his side’s opening goal of the 2021-22 season on Saturday, while Morelos remains in quarantine. But both could leave Rangers in the coming weeks.

Hagi, 22, has got his campaign off to a flyer – cutting inside after instant control from a James Tavernier free-kick to score from eight yards out. The Romania international’s goal saw Rangers go on to win 3-0 against Livingston, though he suffered an injury. Morelos remains in isolation.

Returning from Copa America duty with Colombia, Morelos was absent for Saturday’s opener. He is likely to be absent from the side taking on Malmo on Tuesday. But both could be sold this summer, if the right price is on offer according to GMS. Porto are being linked with Morelos.

Rangers right to consider offers, but should do utmost to keep Hagi and Morelos

Morelos has been touted at the best part of £20million at times. The Colombia international is a presence up top, a real physical forward that riles up defenders but also scores and creates goals. However, if Rangers get a decent offer for him – they are best positioned to cope without him.

Those are the words of Rangers icon Andy Halliday, who starred as Hearts beat Celtic at Tynecastle on Saturday night. Hagi, meanwhile, is getting better and better under Gerrard. Again, if a big offer comes in, it should be considered. But anything less than £12million should be rejected.
