Report: Gerrard is most likely to put ‘unbelievable’ player back into Villa’s line-up to start against Leeds
Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is most likely to start Douglas Luiz against Leeds when the Premier League returns this weekend.
The Express and Star report that the Brazilian is in the box seat to replace the injured Boubacar Kamara, who could be out until after the World Cup.
Villa have had rotten luck with their summer signings, with Kamara joining Diego Carlos in becoming a long-term absentee after joining in Gerrard’s first pre-season.
Luiz also could have left the club amid deadline day interest from Arsenal but remains at Villa Park and could be set to get his chance.

Gerrard likely to start Luiz at Leeds
The report says that Marvelous Nakamba and Morgan Sanson could well be in contention but Luiz has featured more this season.
Lucas Digne is out and Gerrard will hope Matty Cash is fit to play, or he will be missing his two first-choice full-backs at Elland Road.
In that event, another summer signing in the shape of Ludwig Augustinsson could make his first appearance since joining on loan from Sevilla.
Luiz has been described as ‘‘ by former Villa boss Dean Smith but has slipped out of favour slightly under Gerrard this term.
Kamara played a part in that and Gerrard did always make it clear that he wanted the former Manchester City man to remain at Villa Park.
He has started just two Premier League games this season () but that all looks set to change and it is up to him to take his chance to impress.
