Report: Genoa in ‘advanced talks’ for Tottenham defender Danny Rose
Tottenham defender Danny Rose is set to complete a move away from the club to join Italian Serie A outfit Genoa.
, the 30-year-old left-footer has not been given a number in the Spurs squad and a deal for him to leave is expected to be completed.
It is claimed that Genoa are in ‘advanced talks’ with Spurs about the English left-back and a deal is likely to be permanent rather than a loan, as he’s only got one year remaining on his contract with the North London club.
Rose was loaned out in the second half of last season by manager Jose Mourinho and it’s no surprise he’s heading for the exit doors.
Spanish publication reports that Spurs have secured a £27.5million deal to sign left-back Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid, with a medical the only thing left to complete.

TBR’s View:
Despite the fact Rose’s days are numbered at Spurs, he will be remembered as part of a brilliant side that former boss Mauricio Pochettino built at the club and at one stage he was one of the best full-backs around.
England boss Gareth Southgate has omitted him from the national scene in recent times, but aged 30 he may still have aspirations to break back into the Three Lions group if he can rediscover his best form.
A change of scenery could be perfect for him at this stage of his career, meanwhile Spurs are looking to build a new-look team that can look to challenge again near the top.
