Report: Galatasaray want Southampton to lower asking price for Mario Lemina
Galatasaray are keen to make Mario Lemina’s loan move from Southampton into a permanent one.
, Galatasaray will ask Southampton to lower their asking price. There is a set fee in his loan deal but Galatasaray want to pay less than that.
The current situation would allow Galatasaray to automatically make Lemina’s deal permanent if they meet his buy-out clause of just over £13.5m. But the Turkish giants would rather pay less.
Lemina left Southampton at the end of the transfer window after making his feelings clear. The Gabon midfielder wanted to leave Southampton and make a move to another club.

After missing out on a move to an English club, Lemina had to look at European teams. Galatasaray eventually won the race for Lemina and he has impressed the fans so far.
This season, the 26-year-old has played 10 matches. He has had some injury concerns, causing him to miss a number of games. But he is now back and ready to kick on. Galatasaray could be his permanent home if a fee can be agreed.
TBR’s view
Lemina’s future at Southampton looks all but over. But this shouldn’t stop the Saints trying to squeeze a bigger transfer fee out of the midfielder.
There is bound to be a number of clubs chasing Lemina, especially if he stays fit and impresses for Galatasaray. If the Turkish champions don’t want to pay the money, another club might pounce.
