Report: Galatasaray to sign Tottenham midfielder Gedson Fernandes

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Gedson Fernandes, looks to be on his way out of the club, with Galatasaray waiting in the wings to sign him.

Fernandes is set to see his spell with Spurs cut short and return to Portugal. However, he is expected to then move on again, with claming that Turkish giants Galatasaray will make their move.

The 22-year-old has struggled massively since his arrival in north London. He has started just the pair of games of this season, with Jose Mourinho opting for different options ahead of him.

Fernandes moved to Spurs 12 months ago . However, it’s clear it hasn’t worked out as planned and a move away looks best for all parties here. The option of a £42m buy clause, now looking something completely pointless for Spurs.

Spurs were beaten by Liverpool last night and lost Harry Kane to injury. It remains to be seen if they’ll act in the market in the coming days, with Dele Alli another player who could move on.

Fernandes will probably be delighted to get this one over and done with. It’s simply not worked out, for whatever reason that may be.

Galatasaray are a massive club and that move should be a good opportunity for him. But at 22, he really needs to make it work and prove he does have something to offer at the top level.

Jose Mourinho has not picked him for a reason, so it’s time for Fernandes to really try and kick on now.
