Report: Fulham and Wolves have joined Everton in race for Watford midfielder
that Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race to sign Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer – with the Toffees having an initial bid turned down.
Doucoure, 27, has been strongly linked with a Watford exit over the past couple of seasons – continuing to shine in a disappointing Watford side that were eventually relegated last term. The drop in division is likely to see his exit.
Watford are said to want a fee of £25million for Doucoure this summer, with Everton having a bid rejected for the ex-Rennes midfielder. They are expected to re-enter the market and make a second bid for Doucoure.
However, Everton may find that they have competition for his signature. Wolves and Fulham are also said to be interested in Doucoure, while French clubs are also keen – but Doucoure wants to remain in the Premier League.

TBR’s view – Which move is best for Doucoure?
At Wolves, Doucoure may struggle to break past the likes of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho – while at Fulham he is in danger of a second successive relegation to the Championship, with Fulham promoted via the play-offs.
Everton is Doucoure’s best move, with the Toffees in desperate need for a midfielder. Jean Philippe-Gbamin is injured, Fabian Delph is struggling, Tom Davies is being linked with a move and Morgan Schneiderlin has left.
