Report: Fulham and Bristol City want 10m playmaker from Neil Warnock’s side

that Fulham and Bristol City are both interested in signing Cardiff City playmaker Bobby Reid – just one season after leaving Bristol City.

Reid, 26, joined Cardiff last summer from Bristol City after he shone for the Robins in 2017-18. He had a hand in 29 goals during that campaign, scoring 21 times himself as well as laying on eight assists.

He moved to Cardiff and did pretty well for a debut season in the top flight, for a new club. Indeed, Reid scored five goals in 29 appearances – laying on three more strikes. But since Cardiff’s relegation, Reid could leave.

Reid has clocked up a huge 159 appearances for Bristol City and he could be given the chance to repeat that before 5pm on Thursday, with Lee Johnson said to be keen on bringing him back to Ashton Gate.

However, they face very strong competition. Fulham, who were relegated alongside Cardiff City from the Premier League, are said to be interested in luring him to west London in a bid to boost their promotion push.

It is unclear as to why Reid wants to leave Cardiff and whether he wants to – or Cardiff are keen to sell. But Fulham and Bristol City are interested, though it also remains to be seen how much the Welsh side want for Reid.
